Trestle Launches Monthly Board Education Series

Trestle Community Management is pleased to announce the launch of our new Board Education Series, a monthly educational program created to support informed, confident, and effective community association Boards.
The Board Education Series is offered exclusively to Board Members of Trestle‑managed communities and will take place on the first Wednesday of every month. Each session is designed to provide practical guidance, foundational knowledge, and best practices to help Board Members navigate their role and responsibilities with greater clarity.
A Successful First Session
The inaugural session of the series, The Fundamentals of Community Association Board Service, was held on April 1 and saw strong attendance and engagement from Board Members across our client communities. Participation was thoughtful and active, with robust discussion around governance fundamentals, fiduciary duty, Board authority, and effective decision‑making.
The positive turnout and level of interaction reinforced the importance of providing dedicated, structured education to support Board service and leadership.
Education as a Core Part of Board Support
Supporting Boards means more than managing day‑to‑day operations. Trestle’s consultative approach is rooted in proactively advising Board Members and supporting informed decision‑making. The Board Education Series is a natural extension of that approach, providing Boards with additional tools and context to navigate governance responsibilities thoughtfully and effectively.
Well‑informed Boards are better positioned to manage risk, understand their authority, and make consistent, defensible decisions on behalf of their communities. Education plays a critical role in helping Boards act with confidence, maintain transparency, and support long‑term community success.
Led by an Experienced Industry Educator
The Board Education Series is led by Paul D. Grucza, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, Strategic Advisor & Client Excellence Ambassador. Paul brings decades of experience in community association governance and education and is widely respected for his ability to translate complex legal and operational concepts into clear, practical guidance.
Through this series, Paul works closely with Board Members and managers to reinforce best practices, ethical leadership, and effective governance, complementing the day‑to‑day advisory support provided by Trestle’s management teams.
Looking Ahead
Future Board Education Series sessions will continue to build on the foundational topics introduced in the first session and explore additional areas relevant to Board leadership, governance, and community success. By offering education on a consistent, monthly schedule, the series reflects Trestle’s broader commitment to structured support, mature processes, and thoughtful planning.
The Board Education Series is intended to be a reliable resource Boards can return to over time, reinforcing core principles while addressing evolving challenges. Trestle looks forward to continuing these conversations and supporting our client communities through education, collaboration, and proactive advisory services.
