Trestle Sponsors WSCAI’s Board Member 101 Training and WUCIOA Webinar

Trestle Community Management is proud to support the Washington State Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (WSCAI) through sponsorship of two important educational events this March. These programs provide Board Members and homeowners with timely information and practical guidance as Washington associations adjust to significant statutory updates in 2026 and beyond.
Supporting Education on WUCIOA and Changing Collection Practices
WSCAI’s WUCIOA, Changes in Collection Practices Board Members and Homeowners Webinar will take place on March 12, 2026. The session will provide Boards and homeowners with valuable insight into the adjustments that associations must comply with as collection‑related processes evolve under the Washington Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act. This webinar is scheduled for 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. and is open to both current and future community leaders.
The discussion arrives during a period of substantial legislative transition. On January 1, 2026, core provisions of WUCIOA began to apply to all community associations statewide. The changes include new requirements related to meeting procedures, transparency, notice periods, and financial practices. The phased implementation will continue through 2028, bringing Washington communities under a unified governance framework.
The upcoming webinar aims to help Boards understand what these developments mean for their communities. Clear expectations and informed decision making are essential as associations prepare for this new regulatory landscape.
Strengthening Local Boards Through Training in Wenatchee
On March 28, 2026, WSCAI will offer its in‑person Board Member 101 Training in Wenatchee. This two‑hour educational program is designed to help both new and experienced Board Members build confidence in their roles. The training covers essential governance topics including the responsibilities of the Board, meeting management, budgeting fundamentals, Washington State laws, reserve studies, and the importance of governing documents.
Participants will receive practical guidance from experienced professionals who understand the day‑to‑day challenges of Board leadership. The session also highlights the resources available through WSCAI that support communication, planning, and long‑term community success.
Commitment to Washington’s Community Associations
Trestle is honored to sponsor both of these educational opportunities. Each event supports the development of effective, informed leaders who play a central role in promoting transparent governance and long‑term stability within their communities. The WUCIOA webinar prepares Boards for upcoming legal changes, while the Board Member 101 Training strengthens the core skills that guide everyday operations.
These sponsorships reflect Trestle’s ongoing commitment to empowering community associations across Washington through education, clarity, and collaborative partnership.
