Trestle Champions Board Member Education Through WSCAI Sponsorships

Trestle Community Management continues its commitment to empowering community association leaders by proudly sponsoring two key educational events hosted by the Washington State Chapter of Community Associations Institute (WSCAI) this September.
In-Person Training in Issaquah – September 10
On September 10, 2025, Trestle will sponsor WSCAI’s Board Member Training 101 at the Eastside Fire & Rescue Headquarters in Issaquah, WA. This foundational session is designed to equip Board Members with the essential knowledge and tools to lead effectively. Topics include:
- Board roles and responsibilities
- Running effective meetings
- Budgeting basics
- Reserve studies
- Washington State laws
- Governing documents
Whether attendees are new to their roles or seasoned leaders, this training offers practical guidance to strengthen community governance.
“Education is the cornerstone of effective community leadership,” said Bob Brencic, CMCA, AMS, MBA, President of Trestle Community Management. “We’re proud to support WSCAI’s efforts to empower Board Members with the knowledge they need to serve their communities with confidence.”
Webinar on ADUs and Their Impact – September 11
The following day, September 11, 2025, Trestle will also sponsor WSCAI’s Board Member & Homeowner Webinar: ADUs – Affects on Associations, held from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM (PDT). This timely session will explore how Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), such as backyard cottages and garage conversions, are reshaping community associations across Washington. Key topics include:
- Impacts on governing documents and rules
- Legal and regulatory considerations
- Parking, utilities, and shared space implications
- Best practices for policy updates and resident communication
As zoning laws evolve to address housing shortages, Trestle helps Boards stay informed and proactive in adapting governance strategies.
“By supporting WSCAI’s educational programming, we help Boards make informed decisions that reflect both current laws and the long-term interests of their communities,” said Brencic.
