Trestle Named One of Washington’s Largest Family‑Owned Companies

In an industry where local firms are increasingly absorbed by large, out of state corporations, Trestle Community Management has taken a different path. Built, grown, and led by a family rooted in Washington, Trestle has been named No. 70 on the Puget Sound Business Journal’s list of the largest family-owned companies. This recognition reinforces what our Clients have long known, Trestle is local, independent, and deeply committed to the communities we serve.
A Family Story Built from the Ground Up
Trestle was founded by Bob Brencic, CMCA, AMS, MBA with a clear vision to elevate the standard of community association management by building a company grounded in accountability, professionalism, and long-term relationships. In the earliest days, Bob was joined by his daughter, Stephanie Slone, CMCA, AMS, who became Trestle’s first employee and helped lay the operational and cultural foundation that continues to guide the firm today.
That legacy has grown over the years. Today, it includes Bob’s son, Robert Brencic, Jr., who oversees the company’s specialized Community Asset Management Teams. While many companies talk about family values, Trestle lives them every day through leadership continuity, shared accountability, and decisions made with the next generation in mind.
Local Ownership Matters Especially Now
The community association management landscape is changing quickly. Across Washington and the broader Puget Sound region, locally owned firms are being acquired by national platforms headquartered hundreds or thousands of miles away. Those changes often bring standardized models, distant decision making, and reduced local context.
Trestle has made a deliberate choice to remain different.
Being locally owned means our leadership lives and works here. It means decisions are made close to the communities they affect. It also means our Clients are not one account among many. They are neighbors, Boards, and communities we know by name.
Recognition That Reflects Our Values
Being included on the Puget Sound Business Journal’s list of the largest family-owned companies in Washington is more than a milestone. It reflects years of intentional growth, investment in specialized practice areas, and a commitment to building a company designed to last, not flip.
As a family-owned firm, our focus has always been on doing what is right for our Clients, our Team, and the communities we manage. That long term mindset continues to shape how we operate, how we grow, and how we support boards navigating increasingly complex responsibilities.
Looking Ahead
We are proud of this recognition and even more proud of what it represents. Trestle remains committed to local ownership, thoughtful leadership, and providing community associations with a real partner rather than a distant corporate brand.
To our Clients, Team Members, and partners, thank you for being part of the story. We look forward to continuing to grow together.
